'Fire and Rain'
‘Fire and Rain’ is not a tribute or ‘sound-a-like’ act. It’s simply a collection of six of the best musicians from the North of England coming together to play music they love.
Expect the classic James Taylor songs including ‘Steamroller Blues’, ‘Shower the People’, ‘Fire and Rain’ and many other classics played with skill, passion, emotion, humour and humility.
‘Fire and Rain’ are all highly regarded musicians in their own right and include:
Tom Townsend (Lead Guitar and vocals),
Rich Adams (Acoustic Guitar, vocals and triangle!)
Mark Gordon (Keyboards)
Rowan Oliver (percussion)
Bob Walker (bass guitar).
The band members occasionally put their own individual musical projects aside to perform this amazing concert music they love and enjoy what they see as a ‘magical musical holiday’.

Hunsley Acoustic Music at Croft Park Café and Bistro, Little Weighton are delighted to welcome back Tom for another outside, solo performance ‘Concert on the Decking’ -
Tom performed this concert before to a sell out audience on the decking at Croft Park. Known to many for his involvement in the band 'Fire and Rain' and 'Stony Jazz' Tom will perform an evening of classic Jazz, blues and quality self penned songs.
Tom is an active Composer, Performer, Session Musician, Music Producer and Promoter. A talented multi-instrumentalist, he has been involved in the music industry for over 20 years. Surrounded by music as a child, Tom first picked up the guitar with purpose at the age of nine and, with his father’s help, learned to play. Soon it was drums that grabbed Tom and he was hooked on music. From blues bands to hip-hop, drum & bass to jazz and beyond, Tom is exciting to see or hear in any incarnation!

Busy night ahead! Stony Jazz are a group of five of the finest musicians around today.
Growing out of the long-established songwriting/performing duo of ‘Stony’, pianist Mark Gordon and singer/guitarist Rich Adams have expanded the band by adding the amazingly talented musicians on Dave Kemp on alto sax, Bob Walker on bass and Rowan Oliver on drums.
This formidable fivesome are purveyors of songs from the Great American Songbook. Their set includes instantly recognisable songs and music from swing to blues and ballads to Latin, which are performed with style, energy and entertainment.
